Rachel and Nicholas met in eighth grade and have been a couple ever since. They finally married October 11, 2015. The wedding day was filled with smiles and kisses and sweet glances at one another. As part of their wedding the ceremony the couple assembled a unity cross and lit a memory candle for loved ones.
The bride’s gown came from Wedding Belle’s Bridal Boutique. The lace dress, adorned with sequins, was fitted with a mermaid flair and a sheer lace keyhole opening in back. Rachel wore her hair down with a crystal headband and veil. The bride’s shoes were linen with crystals. Her bridesmaids’ dresses were ‘spa’ colored, each had different tops. The groomsmen matched the bridesmaids in black tuxedos with turquoise or ‘spa’ colored ties and vests while Nicholas wore a black tuxedo with white shirt and black tie.
The reception was lively with many family members offering toasts to the bride and groom. The room was lit with blue up-lighting while the couple’s name shone on the wall. During cocktail hour personalized napkins were handed out that said Nick and Rachel, we were meant to be.
Husband and wife made their way to the dance floor for their first dance to I’ll Be by Edwin McCain followed by the father & daughter dance to I Loved Her First by Heartland and then the mother & son dance to I’m Going Home by Hootie and the Blowfish.
As part of the reception the bride and groom played the shoe game, each having one shoe for the bride and one for the groom to answer questions in order to see how well they know each other. Dessert included a four tier wedding cake with two tiers finished in metallic champagne fondant with white icing detail. Alternating tiers were finished with white lined frosting and peach roses.
Favors were personalized jars of honey. Congratulations Rachel and Nicholas. May the sweetest years of your lives together be ahead of you. We wish you the best.
