Red roses, orchids and calla lilies set the tone for Chenille and Mike’s wedding October 15, 2015, as did the theme Eat, Drink and Be Married. Everyone easily managed to be merry throughout the day.
The wedding ceremony began when the two flower girls made their way down the aisle with a sign saying Here Comes the Bride. When everyone had taken their places, Chenille began her walk down the aisle to her husband-to-be. For her wedding day, Chenille wore a fitted strapless gown with mermaid flair, a diamond headband and beaded veil. The bride’s dress was finished with beads and sequins and had covered buttons down the back. Her bouquet brought together red roses, orchids and black calla lilies. The bridesmaids wore wine colored gowns with a single shoulder strap and asymmetrical hem, while the groomsmen were dressed to match in grey tuxedos with crimson vests and ties. The groom wore a grey tuxedo with silver tie and vest and white shirt. Their wedding ceremony included a wine box ceremony with letters from friends and family.
After the couple was pronounced husband and wife, the festivities began with an intimate reception with purple up-lighting. As part of the speeches, the best man talked about growing up with the groom and never knowing Mike to be nervous until he was picking out the ring. His nervousness didn’t deter him and Chenille said yes.
Chenille danced with her new husband before dancing to Forever Young with her father. Afterwards there was an anniversary dance to determine the couple that had been married the longest. Then Mike and Chenille were put on the spot to play the Newlywed Game to find out how much they really know about each other.
Those looking for something sweet were rewarded with a three-tiered chocolate wedding cake. The bottom tier was decorated in black fondant with white piping while the middle and top tiers were finished smooth white fondant with black piping and red and black flowers.
Favors were personalized shot glasses and bottle openers. Congratulations Chenille and Mike. May everyday of your lives together light up from each other’s smile. We wish you the best.
