Richard and David were married at Villa Siena for their courtyard wedding on December 19, 2015. The couple could not have looked any happier. They both glowed. To compliment one another, one of the grooms wore a dark grey tuxedo with a light blue tie while the other wore a light grey tuxedo with a Polk-a-dotted bowtie. The wedding attendants wore grey tuxedos with light blue ties and different styles of lace dresses.
The couple originally met through a mutual friend who introduced them at Starbucks in 2009. Richard and David’s first date was a hike at 7:30 a.m.
As family and friends arrived for the wedding they were greeted with a table decorated with framed pictures of the two men growing up. The ceremony began with a harpist playing. During the ceremony the couple talked about how they met and the journey they have been through together. They wrote personalized vows.
At the reception speeches included the couple’s friend talking about David’s obsession with Madonna and shared the love they feel for the couple.
The couple’s first dance was to Champagne Kisses by Jessie Ware followed by the mother & son dances to Story for Mama by Boyz to Men.
Dessert was a wedding cake of three tiers with piped detail on the top and bottom tiers, while the middle tier was decorated with a pintuck pattern and miniature pearls.
Favors were old-fashioned key bottle openers. Congratulations Richard and David. May you wake up every morning smiling at the beauty of the love you two share. We wish you the best.
