Christina & Nicholas ~ January 15, 2016

ChristinaNickWedding-1690Christina and Nicholas met at work. They married January 15, 2016. As guests arrived for the ceremony and reception they were welcomed with a picture of the couple on a stand at the entrance of the villa. As they wandered inside there was a sign saying Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favorite.

The outdoor ceremony included personalized details such as the baby’s breath in wine bottles lining the aisle seats. The altar was adorned with candles and flowers. During the reception there were framed pictures of the couple on the table.

The maid of honor wore a black Vera Wang V-neck gown, while the rest of the bridesmaids wore David’s bridal black gowns. The bridal party included the daughter of the groom. Christina stood out in a gown with lace appliqués and carried a bouquet of red grand prix roses, nosegay and calla lilies.  Nicholas wore a black tuxedo with piping, a white vest, white tie, black shirt and a white calla lily in his lapel. He also wore sneakers. His groomsmen were in black tuxedos with black vests and ties and white shirts. They all wore newspaper boy caps for a portion of the day. The ring bearers were outfitted to match the groomsmen.

As the ceremony began the groom’s mother surprised guests by serving as officiant. A unity candle was lit to bring the two families together. As everyone settled in for the reception, the couple danced their first dance as husband and wife to Like I’m Gonna Lose You by Meghan Trainor featuring John Legend. Afterwards Christina and her father danced to I Loved Her First by Heartland.

Dessert was a 3-tiered vanilla cake with silver beads and red roses. The topper was a silhouette of a groom lifting his bride in his arms with a heart. Favors were mini bottles of red wine with the guests’ names on them. There were separate favors for the kids.

Congratulations Christina and Nicholas. May your love always be secure and delicate, a seed to be tended throughout your lives together. We wish you the best.
