Jing and Craig were married on Saturday, April 23, 2016.
Jing wore an off-shoulder wedding dress with a ballgown skirt and lace texture, complete with an elegant tiara and matching earring and necklace set. Her four bridesmaids donned red, floor length sheath gowns with V-neck and asymmetrical necklines. Each member of the bridal party held a small bouquet of red and pink roses and blue flowers hand tied with a royal blue ribbon.
Craig sported a royal blue, three-piece suit with a white dress shirt and cream-colored necktie and pocket square. A full red rose ornamented his lapel. His groomsmen wore soft gray, three-piece suits with white dress shirts, salmon-colored neckties and pocket squares, plus a mini arrangement of flowers on their lapels.
The indoor wedding ceremony began with a prayer, then “Amazing Grace” was sang in English and Chinese. A female guest then read a Bible verse, also in English and Chinese, and Jing and Craig lit candles to symbolize their love.
During the reception, a meal was served offering varying types of pastas. Dessert consisted of a three-tiered, white wedding cake adorned in red, pink, and blue flowers. A simple “Mr & Mrs” cake topper sat upon the uppermost layer.
During toasts, one of the bridesmaids gave a sincere speech in Chinese, and Craig’s brother, a groomsmen, thanked the guests for attending. He also said his brother Craig is brave, told jokes about their childhood and vacations, and expressed how Craig chased his dreams and the girl he wanted. Jing and Craig’s first dance was to a mashup song, and the Mother/Son Dance was to a song performed by one of the wedding guests. There was also a choreographed dance to “Cheerleader.”
Guests were also treated to favors of Chinese candy, and “Thank You” photos that came with a password to view all the wedding photos. There were also instant cameras for the photobook during the reception.
