Lauren and Brendon were high school sweethearts, and then husband and wife on Friday, May 27, 2016.
Lauren donned a Morilee wedding dress from the Blu Collection, which she purchased from Brilliant Bridal in Phoenix and came with a sweetheart neckline and a ballgown skirt with a train. A lengthy veil was pinned in her hair with a jeweled headband, and she wore a single strand of pearls. She held a large bouquet of white roses and hydrangeas, and her bridesmaids held bouquets of coral and pink roses and white hydrangeas. They wore tea-length, brilliant red dresses with varying necklines.
Brendon sported a navy blue three-piece suit with a white necktie, pocket square, and dress shirt. He groomsmen also wore blue three-piece suits, theirs with red neckties and coral roses pinned to their lapels. Each member of the groom’s party wore a unique pair of patterned dress socks.
Lauren and Brendon’s indoor ceremony was held in front of the fireplace, where they exchanged their vows – and Brendon may have gotten a little emotional. He vowed to love her everyday, and always have her smiling. Lauren said she was overjoyed to be marrying Brendon, and knew this would happen from day one. They also lit a unity candle.
A dinner followed of mixed greens, grilled chicken breast, sliced beef tenderloin, and assorted grilled vegetables. The four-tiered, vanilla almond wedding cake came in white fondant made to look like petals, complete with pink and cream roses, and a “Meant To Be” cake topper.
For the reception, Lauren changed into white mini dress with an illusion neckline, her outfit complete with silver heels. During toasts, the Father of the Bride wished them all the luck. Hannah, the Maid of Honor, met Lauren in college in 2011, and said she trusts Brendon with her best friend’s heart. The Best Man, Nathan, is Lauren’s twin, and toasted the newlyweds. Brendon then thanked everyone for coming.
Lauren and Brendon’s First Dance was to “Close Your Eyes” by Michael Buble. The Father/Daughter Dance was to “Wonderful Tonight” by Eric Clapton, and there was also a Mother/Son Dance.
Lauren and Brendon gave their guests thank you cookies, and we thank them for allowing us to be a part of their special day.
