Kendall & William ~ June 19, 2016

Kendall modeled a sweetheart cut, Lillian West bridal gown with a veil pinned in her brunette updo, and a single strand of pearls around her neck. She held a bouquet of white, soft pink, and dusty purple roses, and white hydrangeas. Her six bridesmaids held petite versions of the same, and donned dusty pink, semi sweetheart sheath gowns from David’s Bridal.

On his wedding day, William wore his dress blues from his time in the service. His six groomsmen sported black, three-piece suits with white dress shirts and black bowties – complete with a full white rose on their lapels.

During the indoor ceremony, Kendall and William recited their own vows. It was said, “Love is a choice, it is not a need, it is a want.” Both bride and groom gave their mothers roses to show their love, and their godmothers lighted unity candles.

A plated meal followed, starting with Caesar salad, and included braised short rib, prosciutto-stuffed chicken, roasted red potatoes, and green beans. The four-tiered wedding cake was adorned in elegant white piping, and was ornamented with dusty pink and white roses.

Later, Kendall’s father John gave a toast to congratulate the couple. Will’s mother Alicia said they have each other’s whole hearts, and she’s very grateful that they have persevered. The Best Man Andrew said he is happy to have Kendall as his first sister. The Maid of Honor gave the backstory of their engagement and proposal. Will’s other brother spoke, advising, “Happy life, happy wife.”

Kendall and William’s first dance was to a cover of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros’ “Home Is Wherever I’m With You.” The Father/Daughter Dance was to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw, and the Mother/Son Dance eventually included Will’s brothers. There was also an Anniversary Dance.

Guests were asked to use the hashtag #fromdolltodeneke on social media. There were also cigars for the dads in the crowd as it was Father’s Day.

We wish all the best to Kendall and William.
