Rosie & Michael ~ September 9, 2016

Rosie and Michael were married on Friday, September 9, 2016.

Rosie donned a sleeveless, sweetheart wedding gown with a lace-textured bodice and tulle-heavy ballgown skirt. A lengthy train and cathedral veil followed behind her. She stood atop bedazzled gold heels. Her eight bridesmaids wore sleeveless, sheath gowns in light pink with varying necklines. Her Maid of Honor wore a similar style dress in a soft tan. Each member of the bridal party held a hand-tied bouquet of white roses.

Michael modeled a black suit with a soft gold vest, black necktie, and a white pocket square and rose on his lapel. His eight groomsmen wore black suits and neckties with soft pink vests and pocket squares. The young ring bearers sported black suits with white shirts and black bowties – complete with white roses on their lapels.

During the outdoor ceremony, the officiant said marriage is never being too old to hold hands and speak words of appreciation. They then lit a unity candle since two lights coming together as one will protect it from being extinguished.

During dinner, a buffet featured salad, chicken Parmesan, ravioli, and rolls. The two-tiered round cake came with white fondant on the top layer, and decorative pink rosettes covering the bottom, complete with a band of pearls separating the two tiers. A cake topper read, “Love You More.”

During toasts, the Best Man Daniel, who has been friends with the groom since junior high, said Michael has a passion for Rosie. The Maid of Honor said Rosie and Michael are a match maid in heaven, and then, “Here’s to my best friend and her new best friend.”

Rosie and Michael’s first, traditional dance was to “Never Stop” by Safety Suit, which was followed by Mother/Daughter and Mother/Son dances. There was also a memory table with pictures of relatives who have passed on.

They also had a Snapchat filter created for their special night, and asked their guests to use the hashtag #lovestory2016.

We wish all the best to Rosie and Michael!
