Kayla and Adrian met through mutual friends, and were eventually married on Thursday, October 6, 2016.
Kayla wore a semi-sweetheart wedding gown with beaded flowers and a lengthy train. She donned an elbow length veil attached to her beaded headband, and clutched a posy-tied bouquet of purple and fuchsia flowers with lots of greenery – as did her six bridesmaids. The rest of the bridal party wore purple, floor-length gowns with unique necklines.
Adrian wore a three-piece, dove gray suit with a white dress shirt and purple necktie. His groomsmen matched his gray suit, yet wore purple vests. Each wore purple pocket squares and flowers on their lapels.
During the outdoor wedding ceremony, the story was given on how the couple met and sang karaoke, and how Adrian surprised her by proposing at her parents’ house.
Dinner included beef wellington and grilled chicken breast in a mild chipotle sauce paired with potatoes au gratin. The three-tiered wedding cake was vanilla with vanilla frosting. It had a white middle layer, silver top and bottom layers, a sash of flowers, and a cake topper reading, “Happily Ever After.”
During toasts, the Best Man – who’s known Adrian since he was born – said everyone looked beautiful. The Maid of Honor, Kayla’s older sister, said she’s so proud of the bride, told some childhood stories, loves her so much, and can’t wait to see their marriage grow. A groomsman, Ryan, works with the groom, and relayed a message from a friend who couldn’t be there.
Kayla and Adrian’s First Dance was to “Build This Love” by Dan + Shay. The Mother/Son Dance was to “My Girl” and “Over the Rainbow,” while the Father/Daughter Dance was to “Stealing Cinderella” by Chuck Wicks.
There was also a slideshow featured during the reception. We hope it painted a beautiful picture of Kayla and Adrian’s future together.
