Espy and Branden met through work, and Branden later proposed at Disneyland. They were married on Thursday, November 10, 2016, with an elegant red and black wedding.
Espy modeled a sweetheart cut, ivory wedding gown from Azteca Bridal, complete with a mermaid skirt and train, and two strands of pearls. The bride held a full, posy-tied bouquet of red roses, and stood atop bedazzled silver heels. She says wedding dress shopping was her favorite part of preparing for the wedding.
Branden sported a black, three-piece suit, accented with a solid red necktie over a white shirt, plus a red pocket square and fresh rose on his lapel.
The outdoor wedding ceremony was held at the end of a red carpet sprinkled with red rose petals. The ceremony opened with a prayer, and the couple also lit a unity candle along with the groom’s children.
During the indoor reception, dinner consisted of beef tenderloin paired with green beans and tortellini primavera. The white, three-tiered wedding cake was red velvet and vanilla in flavor and came coated with white piping and details. It was topped with a cluster of fresh red roses.
Toasts were given from a number of guests, including a friend and coworker of Espy, who talked about how wonderful the bride is, and how much of a goofball the groom is. She said she feels blessed to be a part of the couple’s life.
Espy and Branden’s First Dance was to “Lost In This Moment” by Big & Rich. The couple and their guests also played a bridal trivia game.
We hope the couple had a wonderful time in Maui for their honeymoon, and have a beautiful new life together.
