Kimberly and Ryan met through drumcore, and were married on Sunday, December 4, 2016.
Kimberly modeled a square-necked wedding gown with a tulle-heavy ballgown skirt – complete with a beaded belt, elbow-length veil, and a sheer back. She stood on maroon velvet, Mary Jane-style heels, and held a posy-tied bouquet of red, white, and soft pink roses. Her four bridesmaids wore sleeveless, floor-length gowns that were maroon in color.
Ryan wore a gray, three-piece suit with a white necktie and a rose on his lapel. His suit jacket was accented with a maroon pocket square. His four groomsmen matched his attire, except they donned maroon neckties.
During the outdoor ceremony, the Father of the Groom gave a reading that compared a love story to a jigsaw puzzle – the couple has to work as a team to piece their lives together. The Father of the Bride recited a poem, and the couple also tied a unity knot.
Dinner later began with a house salad, joined by ravioli, chicken piccata, vegetables, and bread. Dessert included mini cannolis, tiramisu, and cheesecake bites. The three-tiered white wedding cake came with white piping, and each layer was wrapped in a burgundy ribbon and a strip of bejeweled gold. The cake was topped with a glittery-gold cursive “L.”
During toasts, the Father of the Bride told stories about Kimberly’s childhood, and wished the couple well. The Best Man – who also met Ryan in drumcore – congratulated the couple. The Maid of Honor, the bride’s sister, wished them happiness.
Kimberly and Ryan had a traditional First Dance, which was to “All Of Me” by John Legend.
Guests were treated to individual boxes of chocolates as favors, as well as dog treats for guests to take home. There was also a memory table for family members who have passed away.
At the beginning of this new chapter in their lives, we wish Kimberly and Ryan all the best.
