Three years after Nikke and Coen met in Scottsdale, they were married on November 20, 2016.
Nikke wore a corset-style white lace trumpet gown with a long veil from Destiny Bridal and heels embellished with crystals, and carried a red-and-white bouquet. Her five bridesmaids wore red, one-shoulder dresses.
Coen wore a tuxedo with wide patterned lapels and matching cuffs, while his five groomsmen wore black suits with red ties. All the men wore red rose boutonnieres.
The event began with an outdoor ceremony. Red and white rose petals filled the fountain, and the guest chairs were wrapped with red ribbons. The officiant reminded Nikke and Coen to commit to each other to create a happy marriage, and to never lose their senses of humor.
Inside at the reception, red lights illuminated the room. The guests signed wooden hearts at the sign-in table before sitting down to a dinner of steak with steamed vegetables, twice-baked potatoes and caprese salad. Coen’s father spoke about how beautiful the bride was and shared stories about his son, and the newly married couple danced to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” sung by Elvis Presley.
Finally, everyone enjoyed the wedding cake, a three-tier square cake with pearl accents and red frosting trim topped with a custom silhouette topper.
We wish Nikke and Coen a lifetime of happiness.
