Amanda and Matt met through the shared interest of World of Warcraft, and were married on Thursday, December 29, 2016.
Amanda modeled a sleeveless gown with an allusion neckline, beaded belt, and full ballgown skirt with train. She held a hand-tied bouquet with white roses, pinecones, and greenery. Her bridesmaid held a matching bouquet, and donned a blue, floor-length gown with bedazzled straps.
Matt sported a dove gray suit with a blue vest and bowtie, complete with a white rose on his lapel. His groomsman wore his military dress uniform.
The outdoor wedding ceremony was held at the end of a stark white carpet, and offered baby blue blankets for guests. The officiant was Sonia Cantona, and the couple used their three dogs as flower pups and ring bearer.
During dinner, a plated Caesar salad was followed by a buffet of filet mignon, chicken, vegetables, and mashed potatoes. The three-tiered, rounded wedding cake was coated in white frosting, and was adorned in decorative snowflakes. The cake toppers were World of Warcraft figures.
During toasts, the Maid of Honor – also Amanda’s best friend – said she has known the bride for 17 years. She talked about their friendship, and about the bride and groom meeting. The Best Man and bride’s brother also spoke, and told the guests about the groom. The reception also featured DIY centerpieces made of holiday ornaments, which guests were allowed to take home.
Amanda and Matt’s First Dance was to “You Make Me Feel So Young” by Frank Sinatra. The Sister/Brother Dance was to “In My Life” by The Beatles, and the Groom/Grandmother Dance was to “My Way” by Paul Anka.
We wish Amanda and Matt a fantastic new life together.
