Jessica and Chris were wed on January 7, 2017.
Jessica wore a white sleeveless V-neck mermaid gown accented with lace and beading, and white and silver T-strap heels. Her two bridesmaids donned plum one-shoulder Grecian-style dresses. Jessica and her attendants carried multicolored bouquet in hues of white, light pink, deep pink, and red.
Chris sported a gray suit with a plaid tie in hues of gray, black, and white, while his two groomsmen wore matching suits with plaid ties in gray and plum. All the men wore white rose boutonnieres.
Jessica walked down an aisle laid with a white carpet lined with pale pink rose petals and hurricane jars filled with candles. During the ceremony, the officiant encouraged the couple to remember that to love each other is to respect each other. There was a moment of silence to appreciate the blessings of marriage and family.
At the reception a table adorned with photos of Jessica and Chris included a place where guests could write down their advice for the newlyweds. A custom sign showed attendees where they’d be sitting for a meal that included grilled chicken or beef tenderloin with Caesar salad, potatoes, and green beans.
During the toasts, Chris’s father stories about the important people who made an impact in his son’s life, while the best man talked about his friendship with Chris and how happy he was for the newlyweds. The maid of honor, Jessica’s high school hockey teammate, said that Chris and Jessica were perfect for each other.
Chris and Jessica danced their first dance as a married couple to “Differences” by Ginuwine, then followed that up with father-daughter and mother-son dances.
The all-white wedding cake was three tiers with a floral frosting decoration and real flowers adorning the top. Guests were also invited to enjoy milk and cookies.
The attendees held sparklers aloft as the newlyweds ended their special day.
