Emmanuel and Linda became man and wife on November 6, 2016.
Linda wore a dazzling A-line gown that featured a lavender sash and intricate floral embroidery. Her bouquet included roses in hues of lavender and ivory, deep purple chrysanthemums, and greenery accents. Her three bridesmaids wore deep purple full-length fit-and-flare gowns with sweetheart necklines and ruching on the bodices. Their bouquets were composed of roses in a variety of colors.
Emmanuel sported a three-piece beige suit with a white shirt, tie, and pocket square, and a white rose boutonniere. His best man wore a matching suit with a deep purple tie.
During the ceremony, the officiant reminded Linda and Emmanuel that true friendship is the basis for all happy marriages, and to never go to bed angry. The couple read their own personal vows to each other, and then sealed a bottle of wine and letters to each other in a box for the future.
Inside, an usher dressed as Chewbacca welcomed guests to the reception. In lieu of a traditional guest book, attendees signed pieces of a Jenga game, then were invited to select a coffee mug as a favor and play a Mad Libs-style game featuring the couple’s love story. The meal featured a mixed-greens salad with vinaigrette, twice-baked potatoes, ravioli, and grilled chicken breast.
During the speeches, Linda’s father spoke about his parents’ long marriage, and wished the newlyweds love and happiness. Emmanuel’s best man talked about his kind and generous nature and how thankful he is for their friendship. Linda’s maid of honor, who is Emmanuel’s sister, wished the couple good times and happiness.
The newlyweds danced their first dance to “The Shape of Us” by Ian Britt.
The wedding cake featured three tiers decorated with petal-style fondant and roses.
We wish Emmanuel and Linda a lifetime of love and joy!
