Shirin & Eric ~ December 2, 2016

They met at the hospital where he is a doctor and she is a nurse, and on December 2, 2016, Eric and Shirin became man and wife.

Shirin chose a fitted, ivory-colored Maggie Sotero gown with a lace overlay and beaded details. Her accessories included a cathedral-length veil and Manolo Blahnik heels. She carried a bouquet of roses and peonies in shades of pink and white. Her six bridesmaids wore matching pale-pink floor-length gown with sweetheart necklines and ruched bodices, and carried modified versions of the bride’s bouquet.

Eric dressed in a black suit with black tie and white rose boutonniere. His five groomsmen wore traditional tuxedos with black bow ties and pink flower boutonnieres.

Shirin walked down an aisle laid with a white carpet decorated with white and pink rose petals. The couple listened to lessons about marriage from the Bible, and their mothers participated in a unity candle ceremony.

At the reception, guests enjoyed a dinner that included with a green salad with vinaigrette, salmon, chicken, twice-baked potatoes, and steamed vegetables. The best man and the maid of honor gave speeches in which they both expressed their happiness for the newlyweds.

Shirin and Eric danced their first dance to “Stand by Me.”

The wedding cake was an elaborate four-tier affair that included the couple’s last initial, white-on-white decoration, pink roses, and a custom cake-topper depicting the newlyweds and their cat.

After a signature sparkler send-off, Eric and Shirin left their reception, looking forward to a two-week honeymoon in Spain.

We wish the newlyweds a long and beautiful life together!
