Ruthie & Rich ~ April 21, 2017

Rich and Ruthie became husband and wife on April 21, 2017.

Ruthie chose a romantic trumpet-style gown with spaghetti straps, a plunging neckline, a lace bodice, and a jeweled belt. Her bouquet was composed of white and lavender-colored roses tied with a white ribbon. Her five bridesmaids wore individual full-length gowns in tones ranging from blush to purple for an overall ombre effect, and carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.

Rich wore a traditional black tuxedo with a black bowtie. His five groomsmen wore black tuxedos with black ties, and all the gentlemen sported white rose boutonnieres.

The ceremony was held in English and Spanish. The officiant encouraged Ruthie and Rich to remember that love is not a feeling, but a constant decision.

At the travel-themed reception, guests signed a globe with good wishes for the newlyweds, tables were marked with different cities, and kids enjoyed a special travel coloring book.

The meal began with a mixed-greens salad with tomatoes and carrots, followed by grilled chicken with garlic herb glaze, beef tenderloin with cognac cream sauce, penne with roasted red pepper vodka sauce, and assorted grilled vegetables.

During the speeches, the maid of honor shared her wishes for the newlyweds to share a long, happy, and successful life together. The best man talked about how funny Rich is and how long the groomsmen have all been friends.

Ruthie and Rich shared a traditional first dance to “All of Me” by John Legend.

The wedding cake reflected the travel theme; the middle tier featured a world map done in gold leaf, and the topper read, “Our Adventure Begins.”

Ruthie and Rich honeymooned in Greece, and we wish them nothing but joy in their new marriage!
