Melia and Ryan, who met while working for the same company, were married on March 25, 2017.
Melia wore a gorgeous, unique strapless trumpet gown with a sweetheart neckline and a lace overlay. Lifting up the hem of the dress revealed a multicolored floral pattern underneath. She accessorized with a multi-strand necklace and purple satin heels, and carried a bouquet of white, blush, and purple flowers tied with a black-and-white striped ribbon. Melia’s six maids of honor and Ryan’s female groomsperson each wore a different full-length dress in tones of pink and purple, and each carried a vintage-looking lantern filled with roses.
Ryan donned a gray suit with black-edged pockets and lapels, a black tie, and a lilac-colored rose boutonniere. His four male groomspeople wore black suits with purple ties and lilac-colored rose boutonnieres.
The officiant, a friend of the couple, recounted during the ceremony how Ryan thought Melia was different from most women when they met, and how seriously they took the first meeting of their dogs.
At the outdoor, Alice in Wonderland-themed reception, guests enjoyed a meal of baby greens wrapped in cucumber strips with mandarin oranges and fresh berries; grilled Atlantic salmon with hollandaise sauce and lemon dill beurre blanc; and herb-crusted prime rib.
Melia and Ryan offered their guests plenty to do, including a photo booth, temporary tattoo artist, caricaturist, a kids’ table featuring bride and groom coloring pages, and a gelato cart. The favors were jars of homemade strawberry jam.
During the speeches, the maids of honor told the couple how happy they were for them, and one of the groomsmen gave the top five reasons everyone is happy that Ryan is married.
The newlyweds danced their first dance to “Fade Into You.”
Each level of the three-tiered wedding cake featured a different style of decoration, some in gold and some in gold and black. The two-tiered groom’s cake had a Superman theme, including a themed cake topper.
Ryan and Melia left their special day under the signature sparkler send-off, looking forward to a honeymoon in Thailand and Hong Kong.
We wish newlyweds a long a beautiful life together!
