Jessica and Ben, who met in junior high, dated in high school, and attended the University of Arizona together, were married on June 3, 2017.
Jessica selected an elegant A-line Maggie Sotero gown that featured cap sleeves and a sweetheart illusion neckline and illusion plunging back, embellished with lace and beading. She accessorized with stud earrings and a full-length veil. Her large bouquet featured a variety of flowers in subtle tones of white, peach, and pink, accented with eucalyptus leaves and other botanical accents. Her four bridesmaids wore identical pale pink, halter-neck, full-length gowns, and carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Ben got married in a dark gray suit with a navy blue tie and pink flower boutonniere. His four groomsmen wore light gray suits with navy blue ties and white rose boutonnieres. All the gentlemen wore matching argyle socks.
The traditional ceremony included music by a string quartet and a reading from the Bible.
Guests played a movie trivia game to see who would be first to eat a dinner of mixed-greens salad with goat cheese and fruit, beef and chicken entrees, fresh green beans, and potato skins. There was also a donut bar.
During the toasts, the maid of honor told the story of how Jessica asked Ben to go to a dance in high school. The best man said that he’s never not know the newlyweds as a couple, and said he couldn’t express how much it meant to him to be there.
Ben and Jessica shared their first dance as man and wife to “I Will Follow You” by Toulouse. Jessica and her father danced to “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong, and Ben and his mother danced to “My Girl” by The Temptations.
The wedding cake was three tiers done in white with a rib pattern, decorated with a cascade of flowers and a custom cake topper of the couple’s last name.
Jessica and Ben left their special day under the signature sparkler send-off, and honeymooned on a Caribbean cruise. We wish them all the best in their new adventure together!
