Marianne & Ernie ~ November 3, 2017

High-school sweethearts Marianne and Ernie were married on November 3, 2017.

Marianne looked gorgeous in a strapless trumpet gown with a sweetheart neckline and a lace overlay. Her accessories included drop earrings and a full-length veil trimmed in crystals. Her bouquet included roses and dahlias in shades of ivory and deep red, along with eucalyptus and other botanical accents. Her seven bridesmaids wore full-length nude blush-colored dresses in a variety of silhouettes, and carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.

Ernie wore a classic tuxedo with a black bow tie, white pocket square, and white rose boutonniere. His seven groomsmen dressed to match him.

During the ceremony, the officiant told the story of how the couple met in high school, and talked about how they got engaged. Marianne and Ernie lit a unity candle to signify their new marriage.

Inside at the reception, guests dined on caprese salad; grilled chicken breast filled with prosciutto and provolone cheese; filet mignon with burgundy bordelaise and mushroom sauce; creamy mashed potatoes; and assorted grilled vegetables. There was also a dessert table filled with cookies, macarons, candy, and other sweets.

A number of people spoke, including the maid of honor and the best man. Marianne’s father talked about how his daughter has married her best friend and how much the couple has accomplished together, then sang a song.

Ernie and Marianne shared their first dance and husband and wife to “By Your Side” by Sade. Marianne and her father danced to “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong. Ernie and his mother also shared a special dance.

The four-tiered all-white wedding cake had a brushed frosting look and was decorated with a cascade of flowers. The custom topper bore the couple’s last name.

We wish Ernie and Marianne a lifetime of love and happiness!
