Steven and Sarah, who met at work, became man and wife on November 5, 2017.
Sarah looked lovely in a classic strapless ballgown with a sweetheart neckline, lace overlay, and buttons down the back. Her bouquet mixed white and red flowers with thistles and other botanical elements. Her two bridesmaids wore full-length wine-colored sleeveless dresses with illusion necklines, and carried smaller versions of the brides bouquet.
Steven wore a blue suit with a gray vest, red tie and pocket square, and a white rose boutonniere. His two groomsmen dressed to match him.
During the ceremony, the officiant told the story of how Steven proposed while the couple were on vacation in Catalina Island, California. They lit a unity candle to symbolize their new marriage.
Inside at the reception, guests enjoyed a meal of beef tenderloin, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, and Caesar salad.
In the speeches, the best man, the groom’s brother, told stories from their childhood and talked about how he became the best man. The maid of honor also gave a speech.
Sarah and Steven danced together for the first time as a married couple to “Yours” by Russell Dickerson.
The wedding cake featured a bottom tier decorated in rosettes, and simple white middle and top tiers. The cake was topped with roses and a “Mr. and Mrs.” ornament.
We wish Sarah and Steven a long and beautiful life together!
