Jolene and Jonathon, who met through a mutual friend, were married on December 22, 2017.
Jolene chose two dresses for her wedding. The first was a lace sheath dress with long lace illusion sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. Her accessories included a cathedral-length veil and crystal Jimmy Choo shoes. The second dress was a ballgown with a lace bodice, sweetheart neckline, jeweled belt, and full ruffled skirt. Her cascade-style bouquet feature roses, lilies, and other flowers in white and various shades of purple, set off with botanical accents. Her four bridesmaids wore coordinating full-length lavender gowns, and carried modified versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Jonathon looked sharp in a dark gray three-piece suit with a white shirt, pewter-colored bow tie, and a lavender rose boutonniere. His four groomsmen wore light gray three-piece suits with white shirts, purple ties, purple pocket squares, and purple rose boutonnieres.
During the ceremony, the officiant reminded the bride and groom that marriage is a promise, and encouraged them to grow stronger as individuals and as a couple.
Later, the guests dined on classic Caesar salad, twice-baked potatoes, tortellini primavera, grilled chicken breast filled with prosciutto and provolone, and braised beef short ribs.
During the speeches, the father of the bride said how much he loves his daughter. The maid of honor talked about how she met the bride and that she wishes the newlyweds well.
Jonathon and Jolene did a choreographed dance to “Amazed” by Lonestar. Jolene and her father danced to “Daddy” by Abby Anderson. There was also a choreographed fun dance to “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars.
The three-tiered white wedding cake featured two layers done in purple damask, and one with a quilted pattern. Each layer had a purple ribbon around the base, and the cake was topped by pale purple fondant flowers.
