Whitney and Nick, who met in dental school, were married on November 24, 2017.
Whitney chose a sophisticated ball gown with a sleeveless bodice embellished with crystals and a strappy back, and full tulle skirt. Her accessories included drop earrings and a full-length veil. Her bouquet was composed of a variety of white flowers accented with greenery. Her six bridesmaids wore matching full-length emerald-colored gowns with spaghetti straps. They carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Nick wore a gray tuxedo with a black vest, black bow tie, white pocket square, and white rose boutonniere. His six groomsmen dressed to match him, with black pocket squares instead of white.
During the ceremony, the officiant talked about the couple’s first date, and how they got engaged in Sedona. The couple gave their parents flowers, and lit a unity candle to signify their new marriage. They also said a special prayer after the rings were exchanged.
Inside at the reception, guests enjoyed a meal of Caesar salad, tortellini primavera, chicken with mushrooms, and string beans.
In the speeches, the maid of honor told funny stories about the bride’s family. The best man talked about how he and the groom played football together. One of the bridesmaids, the groom’s sister, said that she knew not long after she met Whitney that her brother had found the woman he was going to marry.
Whitney and Nick danced for the first time as a married couple to “The Way I Am” by Ingrid Michaelson. Whitney and her father danced to “How Sweet It Is” by Michael Buble. Nick and his mother danced to “Days Like This” by Van Morrison.
The three-tier all-white wedding cake featured a ridged frosting design and was accented with white flowers and greenery.
Whitney and Nick left their wedding under the signature sparkler send-off.
We wish them nothing but love and joy in their new marriage!
