Tara and Jason, who met when Jason and Tara’s father worked at the same fire station, were married on March 16, 2018.
Tara selected an elegant A-line strapless gown with an embellished bodice and a jeweled belt. Her accessories included a pendant necklace and a hip-length veil. Her bouquet incorporated flowers in shades of white and ivory, succulents, and other botanical accents. Her 10 bridesmaids wore knee-length Tiffany blue dresses in a variety of silhouettes and carried modified versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Jason looked handsome in a black three-piece suit with a white shirt, white tie, and white pocket square. His 10 groomsmen wore gray suits with white shirts and Tiffany blue bow ties and pocket squares.
During the ceremony, the officiant told the couple that love has joined them together but also allows them to celebrate their differences. Tara and Jason performed a sand ceremony using sand from the beach he proposed at to signify the uniting of their lives.
Inside at the reception, guests dined on Napa Valley salad with candied pecans, gorgonzola, goat cheese, and sweet vinaigrette dressing; Caesar salad; pasta rustico with pesto; gorgonzola chicken; and chicken limone with artichokes, capers, and lemon butter sauce.
During the speeches, the maid of honor shared stories about the bride, and the best man told the attendees the story of how the couple met and the adventures they’ve been on together.
Tara and Jason shared their first dance to a slow country song. Tara and her father danced to “I Loved Her First” by Heartland. Jason and his mother danced to “Like Jesus Does” by Eric Church.
The three-tier wedding cake was white with a white curlicue design and silver ribbons lining the base of each tier. The cake was emblazoned with the couple’s initial and had a “To the Moon and Back” topper.
Jason and Tara honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We wish them all the best in their new marriage!
