Kelsey and Devin, who met through Kelsey’s best friend (who is also Devin’s sister-in-law), were married on April 23, 2018.
Kelsey chose a sophisticated sleeveless fit-and-flare trumpet gown with embroidery and beading embellishments, and illusion panels on the bodice and sides. Her accessories included small drop earrings and several bracelets. Her bouquet was composed of white and red flowers accented with eucalyptus and other greenery. Her four bridesmaids wore matching full-length, one-shoulder sparkly gold dresses, and carried modified versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Devin wore a subtly patterned blue suit with a gray vest, white shirt, burgundy tie, and mini bouquet boutonniere anchored by a red lily. His four groomsmen wore dark blue suits with white shirts, burgundy ties, and red rose boutonnieres.
During the ceremony, the bride’s sister did a reading, and the couple performed a rose ceremony for the mothers.
After the ceremony, guests sat down to a meal that include caprese salad, potatoes au gratin, fresh green beans, flatiron steak, and grilled Tuscan chicken
During the toasts, the maid of honor recounted how she and bride met as middle school cheerleaders. The best man, the groom’s brother told the groom how proud of him their late father would have been. The groom’s father told the couple that their marriage would thrive if there was love and respect in the relationship, and encouraged them to take advantage of their support system.
Kelsey and Devin shared their first dance as a married couple to “I Choose You” by Sara Bareilles. Kelsey and her father danced to “That’s My Job” by Conway Twitty, and Devin and his mother danced to “You’ll Be in My Heart” by Phil Collins.
The three-tier wedding cake was done in matte burgundy with gold foil, and was decorated with a cascade of red roses and a custom topper featuring the couple’s last name.
We wish Devin and Kelsey all the best in their new marriage!
