Raquel & Avery ~ September 23, 2018

A Classic Love in Shades of Pink

We get weddings of all sorts at the Villa Siena, from the craziest themes to the most traditional. Every ceremony is uniquely special and beautiful, but there’s something truly great about a classic wedding with a chic, timeless style. And that’s exactly what Raquel and Avery brought to the Villa on September 23rd!

This wedding had all the hallmarks of a picture-perfect day: a beautiful couple, stunning fashion and decor, and a few special touches to make the day their own. For their decor, Raquel and Avery chose flowers in dusty pink and maroon (which we must say, looked amazing against the yellow hues of our venue).

Raquel looked incredible in her fit and flare gown with a lace illusion neckline and the maroon rose on Avery’s tuxedo added a gorgeous pop of color to his sleek black look. Our lovely newlyweds were also accompanied by a beautiful bridal party, complete with bridesmaids in dusty pink, groomsmen in black tuxes with grey bow ties, and one honorary groomsman: their adorable little dog, Carlos!

The couple also made sure their family was involved in their special day — both physically and in spirit. One seat was left empty during both the ceremony and reception, as a heartfelt tribute to Raquel’s late father. The bride and groom also wrote their own vows to one another, adding their own spin on the traditional marriage promises. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house (thankfully, the guests received “happy tears” tissues as a favor!

During the reception, Raquel and Avery kept their decor simple, taking advantage of the Villa ballroom’s already stunning look. Their tables were a simple, stark white, with gorgeous centerpieces that featured a single rose suspended in water, topped with a floating candle. The couple’s love for their family was still on display as Raquel’s mother gave a toast during dinner, and the bride and her brother shared a special dance to Rascal Flats’ “I wish” (after the bride and groom shared their first dance to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect”). They also invited all fathers and daughters to join them on the dance floor, sharing this special moment with all their nearest and dearest.

It truly was a beautiful day, and we wish Raquel and Avery every happiness in the years to come.
