Alex and Matt, who have known each other since middle school, were married on February 16, 2019.
Alex chose a romantic sleeveless ballgown with a bodice and spaghetti straps embellished with crystal beading, a sweetheart neckline, a deep V back, and a full skirt. Her accessories included a pearl pendant necklace, pearl earrings, and a veil trimmed in beading. Her bouquet was composed of roses in tones of ivory and blush accented with small white flowers and a variety of greenery. Her six bridesmaids wore full-length navy blue halter-neck gowns, and carried modified versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Matt got married in a light gray suit with dark gray trim, dark gray vest, white shirt, pink tie, and blush-colored rose boutonniere. His six groomsmen wore light gray suits with dark gray trim, blue vests, blue ties, blue pocket squares, and blush-colored rose boutonnieres.
After an off-site ceremony, guests enjoyed a plated meal of classic Caesar salad, grilled mahi mahi, filet mignon, mixed grilled vegetables, and creamy mashed potatoes.
During the speeches, the best man talked about his friendship with the groom. Matt’s brother talked about how he is his role model. The maid of honor, the bride’s cousin, talked about how Alex is like a sister to her. Matt’s father called choosing Alex his son’s best decision ever. The bride’s father thanked all the guests for coming.
Matt and Alex danced together for the first time as man and wife to “Is That Alright?” by Lady Gaga. Alex and her father danced to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw. Matt and his mother danced to “Child of Mine” by Carole King. There was also an anniversary dance to “Bless the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts.
The wedding favors were luggage tags emblazoned with the words “So the Adventure Begins.”
The four-tier white wedding had two layers done in a dot design and two in a scroll design. It was adorned with blush and white roses and topped with a sparkly Mr. and Mrs. ornament.
Alex and Matt left their special day under the signature sparkler send-off.
We wish them a long and happy marriage!
