Caitlan and Elijah, who met at work, were married on May 5, 2018.
Caitlan looked radiant in a sleeveless gown with a V neckline, custom beading on the bodice, jeweled belt, and full, lace-edged skirt with a train. Her accessories included a hip-length veil. Her bouquet was composed of a lovely assortment of flowers in shades of deepest red, pink, and ivory, accented with greenery.
Elijah got married in a gray tuxedo with a gray vest, white shirt, black bow tie, and red rose boutonniere.
During the indoor ceremony, Caitlan told her groom that they will be able to get through anything together because their love is true. They exchanged rings as a symbol of their love that they carry with them anywhere. The families exchanged roses to symbolize their new relationship to each other.
The reception table was decorated with a caricature portrait of the couple, along with photos and a memento for guests to sign.
Next, guests enjoyed a meal of spring mix with spinach, strawberries, apples, grapes, feta cheese, and pecans; potatoes au gratin; mixed vegetables; grilled Atlantic salmon; and filet mignon with Burgundy bordelaise and mushroom duxelle sauce. The wedding favors were customized cookies.
In the speeches, the maid of honor’s the bride’s sister, shared how the wedding planning brought her and Caitlan closer together. She also told the bride how beautiful she looked and encouraged the couple to always remember the love they have for each other right at that moment. The best man talked about how well the couple complement each other, and joked about Elijah’s love of tacos.
Elijah and Caitlan shared their first dance as man and wife to “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Caitlan and her father danced to “Stand by Me” by Ben E. King. Elijah and his mother danced to “A Song for Mama.” There was also a choreographed dance and a photobooth.
The three-tier white wedding cake had designs on the top and bottom layers and the couple’s initial on the middle tier. It was decorated with blush and burgundy roses, and topped with a bride and groom holding hands.
We wish this beautiful couple all the love and happiness in the world!
