A Romantic Wedding for the Rissis
When Melissa and Dan first met on Match.com, they had no idea that they were about to begin the romance of a lifetime. But Cupid had something special for them, and this past October they became husband and wife.
The fall wedding had a gorgeous color scheme of rose gold, red, burgundy, and grey. The bridesmaids wore short-sleeved, long gowns in the wedding colors, while Dan and his groomsmen stuck to classic black suit and ties in either burgundy or grey.
Melissa was lovely in her a-line wedding dress, complete with a lace bodice, cap sleeves, and full skirt with a slight train. When she walked down the aisle, everyone was beaming — but the biggest smiles, of course, were on Melissa and Dan’s faces.
During the ceremony, the officiant talked about how these lovebirds met, as well as the incredible love story they’ve experienced together over the years.
They also included a hand-fastening during the ceremony, using a braided rope in their wedding colors. Before long, it was time for Dan to kiss his bride (yay)!
Soon after, guests moved into the reception space, which was decorated with rose gold table runners and beautiful centerpieces featuring floating red roses. The newlyweds shared their first dance to Dan and Shay’s “From the Ground Up” before dancing with their parents (Melissa with her father and Dan with his mother) to Rascal Flatts “My Wish.” Then, it was time for dinner: grilled chicken breasts, creamy mashed potatoes, penne pasta with roasted red pepper, and sliced beef tenderloin.
Later on, guests enjoyed a delicious and beautiful cake — which was decorated with the couples favorite NFL teams (AZ Cardinals and KC Chiefs).
The brand-new Mr. and Mrs. Rissi spent the evening dancing and laughing with their loved ones. As they headed out for the night (under the canopy of a sparkler exit) it was clear that they have many more years of love and laughter ahead of them.
