A Simply Sweet Wedding
Katie and Ryan may have met in the sunshine state, but when it was time to get married, they headed here to sunny Arizona for a wedding at the Villa Siena! Their January wedding was a gorgeous affair, decorated in a white and navy color palette with chic copper accents.
The bridal party’s dark attire contrasted beautifully with the white floral, as well as the gold and tan tones of our outdoor ceremony space. The bridesmaids wore long, high-necked navy gowns, while Ryan and his groomsmen kept things classy in fitted gray suits and blue ties.
Katie’s gown was understated, yet absolutely lovely: the satin dress had a v-neckline and an A-line cut with a long train.
Once all the guests had arrived and taken their seats, it was time for the ceremony to begin.
A string quartet performed as the Katie and her bridesmaids made their way up the aisle. Then, the couple took part in a heartwarming ceremony that showed everyone just how much they care for each other.
After Katie and Ryan were officially husband and wife, everyone moved indoors to a reception space decorated with white roses, copper votives, and blue candles.
The couple shared their first dance to Eric Church’s “Wrecking Ball,” Ryan and his mother danced (to Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance,”) and Katie and her father danced (to “Everything” by Michael Bublé).
Soon, it was time for toasts and a delicious dinner: spring mix salad with poppy seed vinaigrette, penne pasta with vodka sauce, Caprese chicken, flat iron steak with chimichurri sauce, and buttered green beans with almost slivers — yum!
A live band played while guests danced off their meal, with a quick break for one of the many cupcakes at the dessert table (Oreo, almond, and red velvet).
During Katie and Ryan’s wedding, the officiant remarked that “everything you do is simply sweeter with one another.”
We couldn’t agree more, and we know that these two are meant to be — this wedding was certainly sweet!
