It was a day for love twice over when Cassea and Eric who met through mutual friends, were married on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2020.
Cassea wore a stunning fit-and-flare sleeveless gown with a deep V neckline, lace bodice, and embellished skirt with a train. She accessorized with a full-length veil, a crystal necklace, and a sparkly headband. Her bouquet was arranged with a variety of white flowers accented with eucalytpus and other greenery. Her five bridemaids wore coordinating emerald-green dresses in a variety of silhouettes. They carried small bouquets of white tulips.
Eric looked sharp in a green suit with a green vest, white shirt, silver tie, silver pocket square, and plant boutonniere. His five groomsmen wore gray suits with gray vests, white shirts, green ties, green pocket squares, and plant boutonnieres.
During the outdoor ceremony, the couple chose to remove their microphones to say their vows to each other privately.
Inside, guests signed a poster in lieu of a guest book, then sat down to a meal of classic Caesar salad with romaine lettuce, pear tomatoes, Romano cheese, house-made dressing and a Parmesan crisp; herb-roasted red potatoes seasoned with fresh herbs and olive oil; assorted grilled vegetables, including zucchini, squash, and red peppers; grilled Atlantic salmon with hollandaise, lemon beurre blanc sauce, crème fraiche, and sturgeon caviar; and flatiron steak with green chimichurri sauce.
In the speeches, the best man recounted childhood memories he shared with the groom; the bridesmaid who introduced the couple gave a toast, and another spoke about the importance of love.
Eric and Cassea’s first dance was to “Beauty and the Beast” by Emma Thompson. Cassea and her father danced to “Butterfly Kisses” by Bob Carlisle; Eric and his mother danced to “Lean on Me” by Bill Withers. The anniversary dance was to “From the Ground Up” by Dan + Shay. Other wedding fun included a bouquet toss, garter toss, the newlywed game, and a photo booth.
The four-tier white topsy-turvy cake had a “Beauty and the Beast” and “Alice in Wonderland” theme, and was decorated in white frosting with red hearts, white dots, and words and logos from “Beauty and the Beast,” along with a pocket watch and red and white flowers. It was topped with a “Happily Ever After” ornament.
We wish the happy couple all the best in their beautiful new life together!
