Mia and Joel, who knew each other as children and reconnected as teenagers, wrote the next chapter in their love story when they were married on September 27, 2020.
Mia dazzled in a sleeveless fit-and-flare gown accented with a deep V illusion neckline, a plunging back, an embroidered and beaded bodice, and a long lace train. Her accessories included a delicate star necklace. Her bouquet incorporated roses in shades of white, cream, and pink, plus other accent flowers and assorted greenery. Her eight bridesmaids wore matching matching tea-length beige silk dresses with spaghetti straps. They carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Joel got married in a classic black tuxedo with a white shirt, black bow tie, and white pocket square. His eight groomsmen wore black suits with white shirts and black ties.
In the outdoor ceremony, the officiant told the assembled guests that Mia and Joel have loved each other before they even knew what love meant. Everyone joined in singing “Amazing Grace.”
Next, guests enjoyed a plated meal of mixed-greens salad, potatoes au gratin, tortellini primavera, caprese chicken with mozzarella, grilled artichoke hearts, roasted tomatoes, basil, and balsamic glaze.
Joel’s brother, Mia’s sisters, and both of the fathers gave toasts, talking about the couple’s love for God and how they found their way back to each other.
Mia and Joel’s first dance was to “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran. Mia and her father danced to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw. Joel and his mother shared a special dance as well. Other wedding fun included a dance line.
The three-tier naked-style white wedding cake was decorated with roses.
Congratulations to the beautiful newlyweds!
