From New Classmates to Newlywed Couple: Nicole and Remington
When Nicole and Remington started physician’s assistant school, they never expected to meet the loves of their lives. But sure enough, these two lovely people found each other in their classroom, and it didn’t take long to see they were meant to be.
The couple officially tied the knot in December before their nearest and dearest. The wedding was a classically beautiful affair, adorned in shades of black, white, and grey with heaps of greenery and white florals. Nicole’s bridesmaids wore grey one-shoulder gowns. Remington and his groomsmen sported black Calvin Klein suits with grey bow ties and pocket squares. Even the flower girl — Nicole and Remington’s golden retriever, Nola — was dressed for the occasion with her white tutu.
Of course, no one was quite as stunning as our bride. Nicole’s lacy mermaid-style dress was a dream, and her flowing curls and long veil made her look like a veritable princess. It was no surprise that the sight of her walking down the aisle brought a tear to Remington’s eye; she was a real vision!
The ceremony was short and sweet, with traditional vows and a unity candle ceremony. Nicole and Remington declared their love, exchanged their rings, and finally became husband and wife (yay!). Then, it was time for dinner and dancing — and this group really knew how to have a heartfelt celebration.
The reception started sweetly with a first dance to Ben Rector’s “Love Like This,” a father/daughter dance to Camilla Cabello’s “First Man,” and a mother/son dance to Frank Sinatra’s “The Way You Look Tonight.” As guests found their seats, they discovered thank you cards at each place setting — a sweet detail to show how much the couple appreciated their presence.
Soon it was time for dinner: guests started with a “married margarita;” snacked on hors d’oeuvres of shrimp ceviche, bacon mac & cheese bites, and beef tenderloin wrapped in bacon and topped with brie; and enjoyed Caprese salad, creamy mashed potatoes, pasta with pesto, Caprese chicken, and beef tenderloin with cream sauce and horseradish aioli. If your mouth is watering already, hold on — the evening was finished off with a delicious 3-tier white cake!
Throughout the night, the guests laughed, danced, and toasted the happy couple. It was a truly special evening and one that we believe will be just the beginning of many happy years for Nicole and Remington.
