A Red and White Wedding for Missy and Mat
Missy and Mat’s July wedding was a passionate, lively affair — and we knew it would be the day they told us their wedding color was RED. This bold, romantic color is a great choice for weddings, and we could tell that they were a bold couple who are truly in love.
On the big day, our Plaza Toscana was decorated with red and white florals everywhere. There were florals on our large fireplace/altar, red flower petals on either side of the white aisle runner, and even red petals floating in the fountain! The wedding party was also dressed for the occasion, with bridesmaids in rich, red gowns and Mat and his groomsmen dressed in tan suits with red bow ties.
Of course, all that deep color only made Missy’s wedding gown stand out even more! She was a vision in her mermaid-style dress, which featured tons of lace, sequins, and ruffles for an ultra-glamorous effect. As she walked down the aisle, everyone’s eyes were on her — and you could tell that Mat was proud to be marrying someone so lovely.
The ceremony was simple, sweet, and traditional. The couple exchanged vows, read from the book of Corinthians, and finally kissed after being declared husband and wife. Then, guests moved inside for a reception dinner of caesar salad, Napa valley salad, chicken Limone, Tuscan chicken, and focaccia bread.
While people ate, the newlyweds shared a dance to “The Only One for Me,” and then danced with their parents (Missy and her father, Mat and his mother) to “Three Times a Lady.” That was just the start of the dancing, however; guests hit the dance floor and tore it up, and they even had a Soul Train line at one point during the night! All in all, Missy and Mat’s big day was just as joyful and full of life as they are, and we loved helping them make their wedding dreams come true.
