Emily and Alex’s Pretty Purple Wedding
They say that purple is the color of devotion and passion, As a color associated with royalty, it also represents elegance and refinement. So when Emily and Alex — a couple who are passionately devoted to each other — were putting together their elegant, gorgeous wedding here at the Villa, it was clear that purple was the only choice for their color palette.
On the big day, the bridesmaids dressed in shades of purple, while Alex and his groomsmen kept it simple in black suits and ties. The Plaza Toscana was decorated with white and purple rose petals. Two plaques, each meant to memorialize the bride and groom’s late fathers, were in place in the front rows. And everyone was ready to witness these lovebirds tie the knot.
Emily walked down the aisle to “Here Comes The Sun,” wearing a beautiful mermaid-style gown with a sweetheart neckline and a ruched bodice. She looked absolutely lovely, and it was clear that Alex knew he was a lucky man. The ceremony was a sweet, traditional affair, complete with vows, rings, and a unity candle ceremony. Finally, the couple was officially wed, and it was time to celebrate!
The reception started off with Emily and Alex’s first dance as a married couple, set to Louis Armstrong’s rendition of “La Vie en Rose.” The bride and groom each danced with their mothers and then settled in for a delicious dinner of mixed green salad, creamy mashed potatoes, penne pasta with roasted red pepper and vodka sauce, sauteed chicken breast in a mushroom and marsala wine reduction, and flat iron steak with green chimichurri sauce. Everyone danced, laughed, and celebrated this special moment well into the evening — but it was Emily and Alex, our passionate, devoted couple, who were the true king and queen of the night.
