Hope and Richard’s Beautiful Big Day
Hope and Richard became husband and wife on a beautiful September day here at the Villa. Everything was perfect: the sun was shining, the Plaza Toscana was covered in pink roses and white carnations, and the wedding party was dressed to the nines. The bridesmaids wore long, salmon-pink dresses in assorted styles. Richard and his groomsmen wore smart navy suits. And as for our bride? She was gorgeous in her white and gold gown with a sparkly, beaded bodice.
The ceremony began with a song; a family member sang “Falling in Love with You” as Hope walked down the aisle! The ceremony was heartfelt and traditional, with the couple exchanging vows and rings. Before long, it was time for Richard to kiss his bride and get the party started!
Everyone was ready to enjoy a night of dinner and dancing. But first, our newlyweds enjoyed a private first dance to “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran. When everyone was seated in the reception hall, the couple danced together again, this time to John Legend’s “Conversations in the Dark.” After Hope danced with her father and Richard danced with his sister, it was time for dinner.
Guests enjoyed a spring mix salad, beef short ribs, grilled Atlantic salmon, potatoes au gratin, and angel hair pasta with pesto, tomatoes, and garlic. For dessert, guests could choose between cake, donuts (off the donut wall), cookies, cupcakes or lemon squares — yum!
Throughout the evening, everyone in attendance had big smiles on their faces. But of course, no smiles were bigger than the happy couple. It was clear that this night was one Hope and Richard would remember fondly for the rest of their lives.
