Emily and Michael, who met as kids in a taekwondo class, kicked off the next chapter of their lives when they married on December 4, 2021.
Emily dazzled in an off-the-shoulder gown with a deep V neckline and a full skirt with a train. Her accessories included a crystal necklace and a jeweled headpiece. Her bouquet was composed of an assortment of white, red, and pink blooms. Her seven bridesmaids wore matching burgundy full-length dresses with spaghetti straps and V necklines. They carried bouquets of white roses.
Michael got married in a classic black tuxedo with a black vest, white shirt, black bow tie, white pocket square, and mini bouquet boutonniere. His seven groomsmen wore black tuxedos with black vests, white shirts, burgundy bow ties, burgundy pocket squares, and white rose boutonnieres.
After a traditional ceremony outdoors, guests dined on a classic Caesar salad with pear tomatoes and a Parmesan cheese crisp; filet mignon with a Burgundy bordelaise and mushroom duxelle sauce; sauteed chicken breast in a mushroom and Marsala wine reduction; creamy mashed potatoes; and assorted grilled vegetables.
A number of people gave speeches, including the father of the bride, the maid of honor, and the best man. Emily and Michael thanked everyone for coming and shared the exciting news that they are expecting a baby!
Emily and Michael’s first dance was to “Every Time We Touch” by Cascada. Emily and her father danced to “The Man Who Loves You the Most” by the Zac Brown Band. Michael and his mother danced to “Close Your Eyes” by Michael Buble. Other wedding fun included a bouquet toss, a garter toss, the shoe game, and a cigar roller.
The four-tier white wedding cake was decorated with a cascade of red roses. It was topped with an ornament bearing the couple’s last initial.
Michael and Emily left their special day under the signature sparkler exit.
We wish them all the joy in the world!
