A Wintry Wedding for Jamie and Derek
The Arizona temperatures are still pretty warm in December, but walking into Jamie and Derek’s wedding felt like stepping into a winter wonderland! Their December wedding was elegant and festive, decorated with roses, peonies, babies’ breath, and frost-covered pine cones.
The ceremony took place indoors in our La Stanza Chianciano. The intimate space was decorated in white florals and lots of candles, giving the space a warm, inviting feel. The wedding party was dressed to impress: the bridesmaids wore off the shoulder gowns in a seasonal scarlet, Derek and his groomsmen looked sharp in classic black suits, and Jamie was breathtaking in her satin A-line gown and elbow-length veil.
Derek’s brother Austin officiated the wedding, adding a family touch to this very special day. Jamie and Derek exchanged vows and rings before Austin pronounced them husband and wife. Then it was time to move to the reception hall — with Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love” playing as they left!
The reception started with a first dance from the newlyweds to One Direction’s “If I Could Fly.” Then, Jamie and Derek danced with their father and mother, respectively, before settling in for toasts and dinner. Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner of Caesar salad, mashed potatoes, green beans with slivered almonds, and Tuscan chicken with shiitake and portobello mushrooms in a creamy balsamic sauce.
Jamie and Derek’s wedding was a charming event that would warm your heart on even the coldest winter night. We wish this couple many happy years to come and many more special gatherings with their nearest and dearest.
