Meeting on a dating website led to true love for Lauren and Dante, who were married on February 4, 2023.
Lauren’s romantic, sleeveless, A-line gown had a V neckline, lace overlay, and beading on the bodice. She accessorized with a hip-length veil and a jeweled tiara. Her bouquet of red, white, and blue blooms was topped off by small Mickey and Minnie Tsum Tsum toys. Her three bridesmaids wore matching sleeveless, royal blue, full-length dresses with V necklines and slit skirts. They carried bouquets of white roses.
Dante got married in a navy blue suit with a white shirt, champagne-colored bow tie, champagne-colored pocket square, and white rose mini bouquet boutonniere. His three groomsmen wore navy blue suits with white shirts, royal blue bow ties, royal blue pocket squares, and white rose mini bouquet boutonnieres.
In a religious outdoor ceremony, there was a reading from Genesis and of the Lord’s Prayer. The couple built a unity cross to signify the joining of their lives.
Next, guests enjoyed a meal of classic Caesar salad, whipped potatoes, penne pasta with roasted red pepper sauce, slow-cooked braised beef short ribs, and grilled Atlantic salmon. There was also a dessert bar with assorted treats. The signature cocktails were the Carter (grenadine, whiskey, and Sprite) and the Rogers (blue curacao, blueberry vodka, and Sprite).
During the speeches, Lauren’s father said that it was hard to give his daughter away, but that he has faith in Dante, and played a slideshow of childhood pictures of Lauren. The maid of honor spoke about how wonderful the bride is. The best man talked about his friendship with Dante.
Dante and Lauren’s first dance as man and wife was choreographed, and was set to “I Was Born to Love You” by Freddie Mercury. Lauren and her father danced to “Cinderella” by Steven Curtis Chapman. Dante and his mother danced to “En mi corazon viviras” by Phil Collins. The anniversary dance song was “Unchained Melody” by The Righteous Brothers. Other wedding fun included a bouquet toss and a football toss instead of a garter.
The single-tier wedding cake was decorated with a prince and princess topper. Guests were given cupcakes in a variety of flavors.
We wish the newlyweds all the best!
