Some couples go for ‘his and hers’ cocktails — Jane and Colin upped the ante with ‘his and her cocktails’ and candy flavors (plus a little hot sauce to spice things up for the guests). This pair met at the University of Arizona and, as we learned in the hilarious speech from Chrisa and Maria, Jane couldn’t keep her feelings a secret. There was so much love and joy in the Villa Siena when this couple came to celebrate, right from the ceremony that was packed with personal touches. From the time capsule of notes from the guests to both Jane and Colin tearing up, it was such a gorgeous ceremony, bathed in the morning light against the breathtaking architecture.
Speaking of breathtaking, Jane’s mermaid cut, lace dress with a dramatic drain was definitely the star of the show! But Colin also showed off his style with a blue suit perfect for the sunny spring occasion. Surrounded by whites and greenery, with lots of roses and baby’s breath, it definitely felt like a fairy tale day.
When it was time for the reception, there was definitely something to keep every guest happy. Besides the candy flavors and the mini hot sauce bottles, there was also an incredible brunch spread — and any time you can get breakfast potatoes and wedding cake in the same meal, you’re going to have some happy campers! The cake itself was beautiful: simple, 3-tiered, vanilla buttercream with vanilla and cherry filling. But alongside that sophisticated icing, we didn’t miss the tiny dog figurine — totally adorable. As Jane and Colin danced to Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” for their first dance, we had no doubt they were in it for the long haul. What a joy it was to have them!
