September 6, 2012 marked the wedding of Cara and Russ at Villa Siena. With the weather still beautiful, the bride was able to wear a gorgeous strapless embroidered dress. The gown was detailed with a bow at the top of the dress and a belt with a bow around the waist. She wore a simple pearl necklace and pearl earrings. Her hair was braided around the crown of the head with the rest in an up-do. A birdcage veil with white roses and French netting gave the bride a classic 50’s era look, yet very modern. The groom wore the exact opposite in a black tuxedo, black vest and black tie. He also wore a pink ribbon for breast cancer. The hot pink color scheme was tied into the bride’s bouquet that also had white star flowers and the groom wore a pink rose in his boutonnière. The pink theme brightened up the fall day through the runner and pink rose petals. The chairs at the reception were adorned with a black and white patterned cover with a pink bow. An elaborate centerpiece overflowing with hot pink roses sat on the altar. At the reception, pink lighting made the room feel like a part of the couple’s personality. Instead of the traditional guest book, the couple displayed a framed photograph that the guests could sign. But the brightest moment of the night was when the bride got up and surprised the groom by singing Bob Dylan’s ‘Make You Feel My Love.” She then presented the guests with a CD of the song that she had recorded previously. All enjoyed a fabulous meal followed by a white wedding cake with almonds. Guests sipped gourmet coffee and tea from their coffee and tea bar. To remember the night, guests were given small boxes of chocolate. This was truly a memorable night. Thank you for sharing this day with us. Congratulations.
