Shannon & Joe ~ October 4, 2013

October 4, 2013, Shannon and Joe enjoyed a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony under the warm Arizona sun. The couple met while on vacation in Hawaii and love took it from there. The stone fireplace was burning merrily while white candles and strings of pearls brought the couple’s sense of style to the wedding. Rows of seating were finished with fresh flowers and ribbons. White rose petals sprinkled the edges of the white runner for the bride to take her first steps towards her groom.

Joe wore a black tuxedo with satin piping, white shirt and tie for the ceremony. Because the groom’s mother had to have emergency surgery, a computer was set up so his mother could be a part of the ceremony via Skype. The officiant made sure to include her as if she were at the ceremony.

All attention went to Shannon as she began the processional. Wearing a belted dress with tiers of cascading lace that ended in a cathedral length train, all eyes were on her. The dress had lace sleevelets and a keyhole back. Her hair was worn up with a veil and a simple pearl necklace refined the ensemble. Shannon looked fabulous. The bride carried a bouquet of white roses.

During the reception, heartfelt speeches were given by the best man, maid of honor and bride’s father. The couple danced a traditional first dance.

Instead of a single wedding cake, the couple chose both a traditional cake of three tiers wrapped in ribbon with fresh flowers as decoration, and a groom’s cake – in the shape of a heart with chocolate glaze dripping down and fresh chocolate ‘tuxedo’ strawberries on top.

A signature Villa Siena sparkler farewell sent the couple off on their life together as man and wife.

Congratulations Shannon and Joe. May the love you shared today be the first step in a long life of happiness.
