While the wedding ceremony is why family and friends come together, the reception is where laughter and enjoyment are shared. Villa Siena was honored to have Brenna and Adam join us for their wedding reception December 13, 2013.

The father of the bride welcomed the family who traveled from all over the country to witness this special day. The newlyweds glowed when they were near one another, as did all who surrounded them. Brenna exuded beauty in a fitted dress with empire waist with a belt and lace sleeves. A pearl necklace and earrings added a shimmer to the ensemble. Brenna wore her hair up with natural curls cascading down. Baby blue ballet shoes were worn under the dress. Her bouquet glittered with ivory roses and diamond brooches, which complimented the dress and brought about a whimsical feel. The bridesmaids wore black with silver and robin’s egg blue gowns with lace.

Adam wore a black tuxedo with white shirt, vest and black bowtie, while his groomsmen wore black tuxes with bowties.

The reason people flew from across the country to witness the union of Brenna and Adam was clear during the speeches. The best man first told Adam to marry Brenna when she brought over a great meal. The bride’s brother said, “I can’t express the joy I’ve seen Adam bring to Brenna’s life and vice versa.

The couple’s first dance as husband and wife was to Frank Sinatra’s The Way You Look Tonight. The father/daughter brought a little rock-n-roll to the ceremony with Guns & Roses’ Sweet Child of Mine, followed by Josh Groban singing You Raise Me Up for the mother/son dance.

The cake was a four-tiered white cake with black ribbon at the bottom of each layer. The layers included chocolate with chocolate ganache filling – carrot with cream cheese filling and white almond with almond crème cheese filling. A separate groomsman cake was built of a mountain of Oreo cookies.
