Nohemi and William celebrated a traditional Catholic ceremony, performed in both Spanish and English, December 28, 2013. The couple first met when Nohemi asked William’s younger brother (and best man) to tell William she said “hi,” as she giggled and ran away. Fortunately she did and their love was consecrated this past year at Villa Siena.

For the ceremony, Nohemi wore a fitted lace gown with a soft flair in the skirt and a satin belt with diamond detailing. With her cathedral length veil, she chose a diamond headband that held back her curls. She carried a white bouquet of roses and hydrangeas wrapped in ribbon and pinned with diamond brooches. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of pale lavender that were also pinned with diamond brooches. For the ceremony they wore violet ankle-length gowns with different styles of tops. William wore a black tuxedo with white tie and a white rose in his lapel. The groomsmen wore violet.

The bridal party read passages during the ceremony.

The couple’s welcome table was filled with birdcages and a book of pictures of the couple for guests to sign. At the reception there was an ice carving with the couple’s name engraved in it. Up-lighting shone in purple, with the bride and groom’s names and wedding date. A mariachi band provided lively entertainment.

During the speeches the Matron of Honor said, “William you are definitely Nohemi’s soul mate.” The best man offered, “I have known you both from the beginning and am so glad I’ve been able to watch the relationship grow!!

For the first dance, the couple chose Por Amonte by Enrique Iglesias. The father/daughter dance was to Mi Nina Bonita and the mother/son was for Te Amo Mama by Marcos Antonio Solis. Afterwards the bridesmaids changed clothes into costumes of black, red and gold and did a special dance for the groom.

A cookie and coffee station was set up for the end of the night. Sweetness was dished out with a four-tiered cake with purple and white fondant base with fondant flowers and cameo style decoration with pearl fondant accents.

At the end of the night the bride was surprised with a signature Villa Siena sparkler farewell.
