March is the perfect month for a wedding. Flowers are blooming, the skies are blue and the world seems to come alive after the long winter. So it was that on March 7, 2014 Britany and Matt were married.
The couple attended the same high school but didn’t get to know each other until years later when mutual friends reintroduced them.
For their wedding, Britany chose a strapless layered gown with a bold lace style that offered a timeless feel to her ensemble. The back to the dress finished with a bow. Long, loose curls defined the bride’s hairstyle complimented by a veil with beaded edging. The bride carried a bouquet of blush and pale orange roses and peonies. Next to her, her bridesmaids wore pale pink knee-length dresses with varying necklines. For his part, Matt wore a grey tuxedo with pale aqua tie. His groomsmen matched him in grey tuxedos with pale pink ties.
As the couple readied to meet at the altar to exchange vows, their ring bearer, just a baby, was pushed down the aisle in a carriage made of an old wedding dress the mother-of-the-groom found.
Then the bride glided down the aisle along a white runner with rose petals edging it. She met her groom in front of the altar decorated with bright bouquets of flowers alternating with white candles. A fire burned in the fireplace casting a warm glow over the festivities. Their ceremony said everything that needed to be said in a short, traditional ceremony officiated by the groom’s brother.
After the wedding, guests were entertained with a slideshow during the reception. Those attending were free to take pictures in the photo booth as remembrances for the wedded couple. The speeches were personal with the groom’s brothers roasting Matt with inside joke.
The couple’s first dance was to All Of Me by John Legend. Favors were coozies with the coupe’s name, date of marriage and quote on the back.
A beautiful square four-tiered wedding cake boasted lace edging on alternating layers with a harlequin design and fresh flowers. The flavors were almond, red velvet and chocolate with peanut butter.
Congratulations Britany and Matt. May your love for one another continue to bloom as the roots of your relationship grow stronger day by day. We wish you the best.
