On February 22nd, 2014 Nicole and Andrew cemented a relationship that began a year prior when they met at work. The couple was engaged and had their engagement photos done at Walt Disney World.
Both the ceremony and reception were Disney themed with small details embodying the Disney spirit such as the font of their programs, the Minnie mouse decal and ‘I Do’ on the bottom of the bride’s shoes and more.
A guitar solo announced the start of the couple’s special day, which was celebrated with a short but simple ceremony. Their dog, Tinkerbell was the flower girl and was decked out for the occasion in a red tutu with a collar of red gerbera daisies. As cute as Tinkerbell was, she couldn’t steal the show from Nicole who dressed in a strapless lace gown with crystal belt that finished in a mermaid flair. Underneath the gown was a pair of red stilettos, sparkling with crystals. Her hair was worn in an up-do finished with a birdcage veil. Instead of a traditional bouquet, Nicole opted for a bouquet of diamond and pearl brooches wrapped with red satin. As the bride readied for her big moment, her bridesmaids took a moment for a photo op with each holding a sign saying how long they had known the bride, including friends from twenty-two years prior. The bridesmaids wore black strapless gowns with red stilettos. Nicole was walked down the aisle by her father, who wore a tie that had a heart sown to the inside saying I Loved You First and the date of Nicole’s marriage.
Andrew wore a black tuxedo with white shirt and red tie while the groomsmen wore black tuxes with black shirts and red vests. The groom and groomsmen all wore red converse. As the couple exchanged rings, the bride gave her groom an inscribed ring, which read To Infinity and Beyond. After the ceremony, the groom ripped open his shirt to reveal what his bride knew all along, that he was really Superman.
Tinkerbell wasn’t left out of the celebration at all as the couple included her in a photograph where the bride and groom’s hands and their dogs paw all intertwined.
The reception included two signature drinks; the Happily Ever After and the Tinkini. A photo booth with a lot of props and a scavenger hunt added to the fun of the night. Guests were given flip-flops as favors, which came in handy for dancing.
The couple’s first dance was Re-Micks Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars. As the couple danced, a Disney video played while a live painting was done of the newlyweds. Then came the cakes, including a small University of Arizona themed cake, a golf themed cake and three different flavors of cupcakes. The night ended with a late night snack of mini grilled cheese sandwiches.
Congratulations Nicole and Andrew. May your days together be filled with fireworks and happily ever afters. We wish you the best.
