Briana and Alex met at the Blue Bar Ribbon. The couple married May 10, 2014 at a remote location before arriving at Villa Siena for their reception. Guests were welcomed to the Villa by framed photographs of the couple and a guest sign-in book.
Briana’s talents were evident with the exquisite wedding dress she designed for her wedding day. The gown was fitted to the waist with beaded trim across the bust and embroidered detailing along the torso. The dress flowed into an ivory silk A-line skirt. Briana added a triple strand pearl necklace with drop pearl and triple stand bracelet to the ensemble. With her hair in an up-do and a veil flowing down her back, Briana was the picture-perfect bride. The bridal bouquet incorporated a variety of flowers including pink and white roses and greenery. During the reception, Briana’s bridesmaids gathered round with laughter and support wearing grey floor-length strapless gowns with rouching across the top. The bridesmaids carried smaller bouquets than the bride.
Alex was a handsome groom in a black tuxedo and vest with white shirt and striped bowtie. The groomsmen wore grey tuxedos with bowties.
In order for guests to find their tables for dinner, each was given an antique key labeled with the guests’ name and table number.
For the first dance, Andrea Bocelli’s version of Can’t Help Falling In Love played followed by the father/daughter song to I Loved Her First by Heartland and then the mother/son dance to In My Life. The speeches included one from the best man who talked about how he enjoyed getting to know the bride and couldn’t wait to spend more time with the couple, while the maid of honor talked about how her sister, the bride, was her best friend.
The couple’s wedding cake was three tiers with white cake and plum ribbon. Piping decorated the first two tiers while sugar glitter sparkled on the bottom tier. On top, fresh flowers adorned the cake along with a cake topper with a bride held in the groom’s arms. Down the side of the bride were written the words When I saw you I fell in love and you smiled because you knew.
Favors were little silver boxes tied with salmon colored ribbon and a black decorative tag with the initial ‘B’ on it. Inside the box Jordan Almonds were nestled.
Congratulations Briana and Alex. May your days sparkle and your nights glitter. We wish you the best.
