Kelly & Rick ~ March 25, 2012

March 25, 2012 was an overcast day at Villa Siena, but the weather had no effect on the spirits of bride and groom, Kelly and Rick. Their outdoor wedding was a lively affair with thought and personality given to every detail. Kelly was a stunning bride with a strapless gown with beaded detailing on the upper half. The groom, Rick, was debonair in his black tuxedo with white vest and tie. The bridal party brought dramatic accents with a black and red color scheme, softened by spring bouquets mixing bright yellows, pinks, oranges and pops of green. The maid of honor wore a red strapless floor-length gown with a black sash, while the bridesmaids wore the inverse with black gowns and red sashes. To compliment the women, the best man and groomsmen accented their suits with red vests with red ties.  The wedding ceremony had an electric feel as the ring bearer, wearing suspenders, a red bowtie and a chauffeur’s cap drove an electric jeep to help seat guests. Just before the bride made her big entrance, a flower girl in a white dress and feathered wings pulled a wooden wagon with the two youngest members of the bridal party, the flower girl and ring bearer, in it. A sign was attached to the back reading Getting’ hitched. The spirited event only picked up in energy as cocktail hour arrived and a personalized newsletter was passed out with the dinner menu and fun facts about the bride and groom. Before being seated for dinner, guests were entertained with a tic-tac-toe board decorated with roses and a picture of the bride and groom. The sign adjacent read Tic-tac-toe three in a row, get kisses from the Mrs. with a large bowl of Hershey’s kisses next to it. A prop station was set up where guests could take pictures in the photo booth with a top hat, sombrero, magician’s hat, moustache and more. As guests were seated they were greeted with place cards in the shape of birds that sat on champagne flutes. The fun stopped for a moment of shared love as the couple took to the dance floor for their first dance; Frank Sinatra’s The Way You Look Tonight. The live band had people up and dancing throughout the evening until dessert rolled around. The cake was a vanilla with strawberry jam delight, but the sweetness didn’t end there. Favors were chocolates and coffee in burlap sacks that were imprinted with Love, 100% Sweet. After the signature Villa Siena sparkler farewell, the couple enjoyed a last kiss before setting off into the night in their vintage maroon Cadillac with just married across the trunk. Congratulations Kelly and Rick. We wish you happiness and joy in your new life.
