Janelle & Kyler ~ November 9, 2012

November 9, 2012 was still warm enough for an outdoor wedding. Janelle & Kyler took full advantage of the beautiful day for their wedding ceremony at Villa Siena. This couple has known each other since college, but the love appeared just as plentiful on this day as it must have been when the they first met.

Janelle wore a mermaid style wedding gown that flattered her figure. She chose simple diamond earrings and a veil attached under her bun. The dress showcased buttons down the back while open-toed shoes with crystal detailing completed the look. Sewn inside the dress was a tag with the letters J, a heart and K. A bouquet of calla lilies had a rhinestone wrap. The bridesmaids wore full length plum colored dresses with around the neck straps and ruffled detailing down the front. The groomsmen complimented the bridesmaids with grey ties, vests and handkerchiefs. Kyler wore a plum tie and a calla lily in his lapel.

During the reception, a “Love Story” was read about how the couple met and fell in love. They had a class together in college but it took more than an attraction, it took patience for the couple to finally be married. Years after they met and dated, Kyler picked Janelle up from the airport. In his hand he held a sign that read “Janelle.” As she got closer, he turned the sign around to read, “Will you marry me?”

She did. The officiant presided over a wonderful ceremony reminding the couple that while marriage is sometimes a challenge, they couple should remember to love one another.

During the reception, Janelle’s best friend from 2nd grade and maid of honor, spoke of how the two girls used to dream of growing up to be softball players and actresses and they imagined things about their future. Although many of their childhood dreams never came true, she knew Janelle had everything she ever wanted in Kyler.

The reception also offered chairs for the bride and groom to rest. The director’s chairs read, “I’m with her” for Kyler and “The Boss” for Janelle. After a bouquet toss, the couple cut the four-tiered cake that had a flower design that ran over all four tiers. A smaller confetti cake was brought out for the groom.

Guests were given wine stoppers as favors. November 9th was a wonderful day at Villa Siena. Congratulations Janelle and Kyler. We wish you the best.
