Kristen & Ian ~ February 8, 2013

Kristen and Ian were married at Villa Siena on February 8th, 2013 surrounded by those who mattered most. The couple met online and the two found a connection to last. Their love was apparent even to the couple’s children. The first time Kristen was introduced to Ian’s daughter, she asked “Mrs. Walker, are you gonna marry my daddy?”

On the day of the wedding a welcome sign greeted guests as they arrived at the Villa. They were welcomed to sit on either side of the aisle to symbolize a merging of lives and not a separation of two individuals.

The groom wore a tuxedo with a striped red and black tie white the best man wore a solid red tie. The maid of honor was dressed in a red floor-length gown with detailing on top. Her bouquet was an elegant arrangement of calla lilies. The bride caught everyone’s attention as she walked down the aisle in a fitted v-neck dress with mermaid flair. Lace overlaid the gown offering a romantic summer feel. Kristen’s hair was worn up with a hair clip. Pearl drop earrings and a necklace added to the ensemble as did a veil embroidered with flowers. A red mixed flower bouquet contrasted beautifully with the gown.

During the ceremony a string quartet played. A sand ceremony was conducted as part of the wedding with Ian’s daughter taking part. Red, black and white sand mixed together.

At the gift table sat a remembrance tree, which included photos of all family members who had passed away. Family was clearly an integral part of the couple’s life as demonstrated in the touching family speeches.

For fun, a photo booth allowed guests to capture the moment. Table settings had personalized napkins that read ‘eat, drink and be married’ with the couple’s names and date of the wedding.

The first dance was Rascal Flatts’ Bless the Broken Road, followed by dinner and a three-tiered cake with decorative design in white on two layers and red on the middle layer.

As the night wound down a traditional Villa Siena sparkler farewell saw the couple off. Congratulations Kristen and Ian. May all your dreams come true.
